We don't brew in factories. Every batch is small, carefully monitored, and personally approved. Quality over quantity, always.

In 2020, during the pandemic, we found ourselves with time and a kitchen. We'd always loved the sour plum drinks of our childhood — those sticky, tart, wonderfully familiar bottles from the local sundry shop.
We wanted to make something better. Fresher. More honest. Three months of testing later, Meiju was born. The name comes from 梅酒 — the Chinese characters for sour plum wine.
Today we ship across Malaysia, but the recipe and the process haven't changed at all.
Our Journey
Brewed our first batch of Classic Sour Plum Wine at home during MCO. Gave bottles to neighbours and family — the response was overwhelming.
Launched a simple Instagram page. Sold out the first batch in 48 hours. Started taking pre-orders and grew a small but passionate following.
Developed the Reserve recipe — a longer-aged, richer expression. Became our best seller within 2 months of launch.
Launched our first seasonal gift set for Chinese New Year. Sold out in 3 days. Now a permanent part of our collection.
Launched our new website and began shipping to East Malaysia. Still the same recipe. Still the same hands.
